This place apparently used to be a nursing home and I think it's haunted. That's my opinion. Weird people live here.

I have lived here about 18 months. At first I was very excited about moving into an artists community. But once I had been here a very short period of time, it was obvious that there were significant management issues. Things were not being repaired. Arts were not being supported. Tenant problems were rampant. After about 6 months, ownership stepped in and changed management companies. Ownership representatives were onsite frequently. Tenant relations were improving and repairs being made. We now have resident service from PDX Love onsite 2 days a week. They are proactive and truly care about helping residents. Everything from community dinners once a month to weekly food box delivery. The staff rocks. A year later, things are significantly better. Artists are now being given preference on rental applications. Resident artists are getting grant support. And resident opinions are being listened to. Things are not perfect and not everyone is happy. But in truth, you can never make everyone happy. I can see the improvements and have a belief that we will continue to see them get better.

This place is not great, but itâs not terrible. The bathroom situation is a big problem when you go inside the bathroom itâs very dirty Also they put stairways next to a wall. The room is fine.

3 stars is all this place will get from me, I have friends that live here and unless you actively keep every inch of your apartment bleached and disinfected you'll end up getting some kind of bug. The management isn't to quick to fix issues like bugs or dirty bathrooms and showers. But will go the extra mile to hire private security to walk around all night .....

If I was able to leave zero stars I would this isn't a good place to live the management are liers and very manipulative also things that need to get fixed don't, also people who are squatters have more rights then the tenants. This isn't the place you want to rent run don't live here your life will be in turmoil constant fighting, people slamming doors being loud, also management doesn't do anything when people are harassing you or causing havoc. Also MP5 and Guardian Management are very vindictive I know all to well at the lengths they go to try and get someone out they are horrible. This place is horrible they will lie to you to for you to rent here also women aren't safe in this area exp at night.

Paid my rental application and didn't hear back for over a month. I'm an artist who grew up near by. I won't be participating in any Milepost 5 events anymore. (I emailed my complaint before posting this review and was ignored. The response to this review is so impersonal and insincere. I'd like my application fee back please)

If I could leave zero stars I would. We are overridden with pests, The building is falling apart and management does nothing to help. The prices for this low-income building are up there with normal housing. Packages get stolen and there seems to be a domestic dispute every other night. The building stinks, the common areas are filthy and they are just letting us rot. Don't move here. We are no longer an artist community. You can't even hang art work on the walls anymore
